When asked about his conversion to Christianity, my father said that

• He had an early, unconscious inclination towards Christianity, singing Christian songs as a teenager.

• He was initially involved in both Islam and idolatry.

• Noticing that practitioners of supernatural powers were dying unexpectedly, he became interested in Christianity for eternal life.

• He converted after and invited a Christian friend to share the gospel in his village where few people also gave their lives to Christ.

When asked about post-conversion experience my father said that

• He faced family opposition and was asked to leave the family home.

• He built his own house and led his family in Christian worship.

• He became a pastor until his recent retirement.

Outcome:

• Despite challenges, he persevered in his faith.

• He outlived many of those who opposed, threatened and wished him dead.

• He attributes his survival and well-being to Jesus' care for him and his family.
